NIRMALA FORMER STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION, (NFSA) NHS

Members of Nirmala Former students Association, Machilipatnam are delighted and proud that their Alma Mater is celebrating Dimond Jubilee of its foundation.

Nirmala Former Students Association had its beginning in a miniature level in 2007 with the Initiative of Mr. P.Saji Kumar belonging to the first batch of the school (SSC 1977-1978). As he was struck by the terminal illness and later due to his untimely sad demise in the year 2009, the association took time to develop and to be known officially.

Later, on 17 January 2010, mega alumni meet was arranged. Alumni of 33 batches met on that day along with the former headmistresses and teachers. Nirmala Former students Association (NFSA) was officially formed on that day and S.V.S Pavan was its President. They took up different activities for the welfare of the Student Community and for the public.

With a view to promote and nurture interest in fine arts among the students, one month summer camp was conducted in the school campus under the leadership of Vasudha Rani with the co-operation of T.Anand in 2010. 1250 students from various schools participated to learn Yoga, drawing, classical and folk dances, music arid chess Quiz and Essay writing competitions were conducted August, 2010 as Anveshana Talent search and scholarship programme. Students of 15 schools took part in the programme and cash prizes of Rs. 3000/- Rs. 1500 ang Rs. 750/-were awarded to the first, second and third winners respectively.

Medical Camp was conducted in collaboration with 1986 S.S.C. batch with the active participation of Dr. D. Surendra and Dr. D. Ramesh Nearly 1800 students benefited by this Medical Camp was conducted in November 2010 by Dr.D.Jagan Mohan Rao, Dr.D. Surendra and Dr.D. Ramesh Medicines were also distributed free of cost. More than 1500 people were the beneficiaries. 3K Run was conducted on work Diabetes Day by Dr.D.Ramesh and his team.(Nov 2 010).

The team conducted various activities for the all-round development of Nirmalites and also for the progress of the school. Every activity so far conducted by the team has been Unsurpassed, Novel, Innovative, Quintessential, Useful, Exemplary (UNIQUE) as such activities have never been done before in Machilipatnam.
